Leadership
Zack Magee
Operator, acquirer, and the person behind Miami MSP LLC — focused on giving IT business owners a confidential, dignified way out.
Zack Magee has been around technology his entire life. There is a photo on this page from his fourth birthday — he is unwrapping a Lexmark printer with the kind of excitement most kids reserve for bicycles. That image is funny, but it is also accurate. He has been taking systems apart, putting them back together, and making technology work for other people since before he had a driver's license.
Today, Zack leads Miami MSP LLC and the acquisition work behind it. He is not a banker who learned MSP vocabulary for a pitch deck. He is an operator who has lived the ticket queue, the after-hours pages, the client who calls at 7:15 because email "feels slow," and the quiet satisfaction of keeping a business running when everything else depends on it.
Why acquisitions
Most IT businesses are not built in a boardroom. They grow out of favors, reputation, side income, and trust — especially the small ones. Zack started Miami MSP LLC's acquisition practice because he kept meeting owners who were exhausted but did not know anyone would buy a business their size, or one built on relationships instead of polished contracts.
He wanted a buyer who would talk to solo operators and established MSPs with the same respect — who would not ghost a seller because the books were messy, and who would not parade a company to competitors before the owner was ready. That is the standard he holds the team to.
Growth through acquisition made sense because the work itself — managed services — is what he loves. Not financial engineering. Not roll-up theater. Bringing client books into a platform that will actually service them, and giving tired owners a dignified exit whether their paperwork is pristine or held together with good intentions.
How Miami MSP LLC is structured
The acquisition work sits under Miami MSP LLC, the parent company of the MSP Zack built from the ground up and of every IT service business the team brings in. Sellers are joining an operating organization — not a shell. Where it fits, acquired companies keep the names and identities their clients already trust.
Zack is adamant about transparent transitions. Clients are told what is happening, what changes, and what does not. Silent acquisitions are not part of the playbook.
Technical foundation
Zack built his early career in high-availability hosting, working with clustered systems, failover, and load balancing when downtime had immediate, visible consequences. That work taught him something he still applies daily: reliability is not a heroic fix at 2 a.m. It is design, monitoring, and disciplined operations over years.
He has spent decades in managed services — building teams, stabilizing environments, and learning what actually happens when one company absorbs another's clients. That experience shapes how Miami MSP LLC evaluates sellers and plans transitions. The goal is not a press release. It is clients who still feel supported the month after close.
Leadership beyond the office
Zack also serves as a volunteer law enforcement officer, holding the rank of Sergeant as a patrol supervisor. Leading a shift under pressure — when information is incomplete and calm matters — has sharpened how he runs a company. Clear communication, accountability, and decisive action translate directly from patrol work to acquisition work.
Whether he is supervising a team in the field or structuring a handoff for a twelve-client side business, the priority is the same: the people depending on you should know someone competent is in charge.
Personal
Outside of work, Zack is a serious drummer and a devoted fan of symphonic metal. He has traveled to see bands like Delain, Sirenia, Within Temptation, and Charlotte Wessels. He credits the discipline of drumming — timing, structure, and knowing when to add feel — with how he thinks about building teams and systems.
He divides his time between Long Island and Miami, staying close to clients and operations in both markets. If you are exploring a sale, you will talk to someone who has done the work, not someone reading your answers from a script.
