The accidental MSP
Started as side work, grew into contracts, and now feels like a second full-time job you cannot simply quit.
About Us
Miami MSP LLC exists to acquire IT service businesses with discipline, discretion, and respect for the work owners spent years building — including the messy, human, under-documented kind.
The IT services world is full of origin stories that do not fit a pitch deck. A network admin who picked up a few clients after a layoff. A consultant who kept supporting a law firm "just until they found someone else." A technician whose reputation in a small town turned into a second income, then a primary one, then a burden they never fully signed up for.
Miami MSP LLC was built for those owners — and for established MSPs ready for a structured exit. We buy businesses we can operate and transition, not logos to staple onto a slide for investors.
We began as an MSP — not as a fund, not as a holding company looking for an industry to enter. Managed services is the business we know, the work we have done for years, and the foundation everything else is built on.
Today, Miami MSP LLC is the parent company of our operating MSP and of every IT service business we acquire. When we buy your company, it becomes part of Miami MSP LLC. In most cases, we keep the original branding in place — your clients still know the name they trusted, and we support that identity rather than forcing an overnight rebrand.
Running IT for other businesses is relentless. Clients expect immediate answers. Security pressure never pauses. Vendors change pricing. Good technicians are hard to find. And if you are solo, every problem routes to your personal phone — during dinner, on vacation, during your actual day job.
Many owners do not want to "scale." They want relief. They want a clean handoff. They want to know their clients will not be stranded. They want a buyer who understands that a twelve-client book built on ten years of trust is an asset — even if it was never formalized the way a banker would prefer.
We evaluate managed service providers, small IT companies, break-fix firms with recurring clients, and one-person side businesses. Geography and stack vary. Revenue models vary. What we look for is substance: real clients, honest operations, and an owner ready for a serious conversation.
We are not limited to businesses with perfect recurring revenue metrics. We are interested in operations that can be stabilized, documented, and carried forward — including businesses where the owner is the service delivery plan.
We are passionate about managed services — the recurring relationships, the operational discipline, the quiet pride of being the company a client calls when something breaks. Private equity language does not excite us. Running a great MSP does. Acquisition is how we grow, not who we are.
That distinction matters when you are choosing a buyer. We are not acquiring your clients to re-trade them. We are bringing them into an organization that lives in the same world you do: tickets, backups, security alerts, and the long work of earning trust month after month.
We have seen every flavor of messy. The side business with no formal entity. The client list in a notebook. The agreement that was never signed because everyone trusted each other. The revenue that is real but hard to prove on a spreadsheet. We are not shocked, and we are not here to lecture you.
Some businesses are smaller than what we ideally acquire. We will be direct about that when it is true. But we will still treat your inquiry with respect — because building even a modest client book takes years of showing up, and that effort deserves a real conversation, not silence.
We do not believe in silent acquisitions. Your clients deserve to know what is changing, why it is changing, and what it means for the support they count on. We communicate openly through the migration — who they will call, what stays the same, what improves, and when.
That transparency extends to you as the seller. We will not surprise you with a communication plan you have never seen, and we will not treat your client relationships as something to be transferred in the dark. You built that trust. We earn it again in the open.
Clients should not feel a cliff-edge after a transaction. Employees — if you have them — should not learn about a sale from hallway rumors. Owners should not need an intermediary to explain whether the buyer understands break-fix, RMM, Microsoft tenants, or why a client still pays by check.
After close, your clients should receive the same patience and care you gave them — with clear, honest communication throughout the handoff. We keep the process direct, serious, and human. If we are not the right buyer, we will say so. If we are, we will tell you what that means in plain language.
Miami MSP LLC is led by Zack Magee, an operator and acquirer with decades in managed services — not a distant fund manager who has never answered a client ticket.
Confidential inquiries welcome. We respond to serious seller conversations promptly.
Started as side work, grew into contracts, and now feels like a second full-time job you cannot simply quit.
Built a real company, hired staff, signed agreements — and wants retirement or a clean break without drama.
Deep expertise, loyal niche clients, no interest in building a sales team or hiring a bench of technicians.
You do not need a polished information packet to start. A candid email about your client count, revenue ballpark, and why you are exploring an exit is enough.
